Privacy Policy

Rainbows of Aging is a research program in the UNLV School of Public Health. This policy explains what this website collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers this website only. It does not replace the consent documents you receive if you enroll in one of our studies: those documents govern the research data itself.
Information you choose to give us
When you submit a form on this site, we collect what you type into it: your name, your email address or phone number, your pronouns if you share them, the reason you are writing, the study you are interested in, and your message. We use that information only to reply to you and to talk with you about taking part in research.
Submissions are stored in a private database that only our research team can read, and a copy is emailed to our team at rainbowsofaging@unlv.edu. We keep submissions for as long as we need them to follow up with you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, then delete them.
We do not use tracking cookies
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and no cookie banner is needed. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social media trackers, or any service that builds a profile of you.
Anonymous visit counting
To understand which pages are useful, we count visits. For each page view we record the page address, the date and time, the domain of the website that referred you (if any), and whether the device is a desktop, tablet, or phone. We also store a short code that rotates every day, so we can tell one visit from another without knowing who you are.
We do not store your IP address, your name, your device identifiers, or anything that identifies you. The daily code cannot be reversed and cannot be linked from one day to the next. Nothing is written to your browser, and nothing is shared with an advertising network.
Email you receive from us
We email you only in reply to something you sent us, or about research you asked about. We do not sell or rent email addresses, and we do not add you to a marketing list without your permission. If we ever send program updates, every message will name us clearly, include a real postal address, and include a working unsubscribe link that we honor promptly. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time by writing to rainbowsofaging@unlv.edu.
Other websites and embedded video
Some pages link to other organizations and embed videos hosted on YouTube. Once you follow a link or play an embedded video, that organization's own privacy policy applies. We do not control what they collect.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices
You can ask us what you sent us, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to rainbowsofaging@unlv.edu or call 833-966-6974. Because our anonymous visit counts contain nothing that identifies you, we cannot look up or remove an individual visit.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this website handles information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
